What started as an emergency call turned into something much more important - a real safety fix. When we got on site, we found a Zinsco panel. If you're not familiar with Zinsco, here's the short version: they're a known fire hazard. These panels were manufactured decades ago and have a documented history of breakers that fail to trip when they should. That means overcurrent situations that are supposed to be stopped - aren't.

We pulled the old panel and replaced it with a new Siemens unit. Everything is clean, properly labeled, and fully loaded with clearly identified circuits - range, oven, AC, EV, garage, and more. Every circuit has a home, and every homeowner deserves to know exactly what's controlling what in their panel. That level of organization matters more than most people realize.

Zinsco panels are one of those things where the risk isn't always obvious from the outside. The lights are on, the outlets work, everything seems fine. But inside the panel, you've got breakers that may not respond the way they're supposed to under load. That's the kind of problem that doesn't announce itself until something goes wrong.

Electrical panel upgrades like this one aren't just about keeping the power on. They're about making sure the system protecting your home is actually doing its job. If your panel is old, if you've got a Zinsco or Federal Pacific box, or if you've noticed tripping breakers, flickering lights, or anything that feels off - it's worth getting eyes on it sooner rather than later.
